Abstract

Guava, a widely cultivated and economically important fruit, faces significant losses in production and storage due to fungal diseases such as Aspergillus and Rhizopus rot. This study investigates the incidence of these rots in ten local markets of Faisalabad, with notable variations observed across different locations. Causal organisms were isolated and characterized, revealing diverse parameters affecting their growth and development. These findings underscore the importance of understanding disease dynamics and implementing effective management strategies to mitigate losses in guava production and storage.
